Job Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Process payroll from timesheet review through to paydays, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
Partner with Finance / Accounting to reconcile bi-weekly payroll reporting to ensure accuracy of upload to Paylocity HRIS system.
Reconcile all Benefit interface uploads with Paylocity to ensure accuracy, in coordination with the (HR Administrator).
Responsible for processing HR related invoices through third party system.
Ensure accurate filing and recordkeeping.
Assist employees and leaders with payroll requests and issues, including password resets, timecard issues, etc.
Ensure timely processing of personnel action forms.
Performs data entry for all payroll-related functions and other entries as needed.
Will act as the primary back up for the recruiting administrative function in the absence of the recruiter to ensure continuous operations. May partner closely with HR on other projects as well.
Assists with Accounting and Finance duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Attends meetings both “on site” and “off site” as required.
Completes department related and special projects in a timely manner.
Works with all departments to assure highest quality experience for all Denver Botanic Gardens visitors.
Maintains satisfactory working relationships with managers, co-workers and others.
Performs other duties or special projects as requested by management

Education and Experience

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum of five years of experience in Payroll administration. Experience with payroll in a non-profit a plus. Proficiency with standard office equipment and computers in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office, payroll/HR software (Paylocity preferred) and Blackbaud purchase order system. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple and changing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and be familiar with applicable governmental regulations in the areas of payroll, HR, workers’ compensation and employee benefits.
